steel & lace

Hi friends! Happy Monday! The hubs-to-be and I got back from Paris yesterday but my camera is still full of wonderful photos from our last few days there. The next couple of posts will be groupings of the best of the best, while we get back into our normal routine.

I was searching for a title for this post when I stumbled upon a bloggers description of the Eiffel Tower.

I like the Eiffel Tower because it looks like steel and lace. – Natalie Lloyd

When I read this I realized this is precisely why I’m so enamored with the Eiffel Tower. It’s incredibly strong yet beautifully feminine.

I did snap some photos up close but the Eiffel is so much better from afar, where you can’t see the hordes of tourists and cheesy souvenir stands that surround it. I’ll likely post another batch of France photos tonight so stay tuned!

As for getting back to reality, Rob and I crammed as much organizing, grocery shopping, unpacking and laundry into yesterday afternoon as possible before crashing into bed at 8:30pm last night. We somehow managed to do everything on the vacation recovery checklist. AMAZING. I’m hitting the gym for an intense workout after my internship today since my skinny jeans are feeling a bit snug after 2 weeks of bangers & mash, wine, champagne, and crepes. The damage control is minimal though since I fit in a workout every day while being away and walked all over London and Paris seeing the sights. I’ll be whipping up a quick & super healthy veggie-tastic dish for dinner after getting my sweat on at the gym.

What do you love about the Eiffel Tower?

P.S. If you missed them, check out these posts for an amazing sunrise shot and the Eiffel at dusk.
